Sentinel's Thoughts
As we all know, there are many issues facing us. These issues exist within our borders and around the world. We want to hear your thoughts, as the Sentinel Party is a party that listens. Here are some of the current issues we are tackling:

01
Housing Affordability
Our current elected government has not provided the correct incentives, nor has it proactively worked with industry to ensure a solid foundation for housing. Secondly, the Liberals have moved forward with a robust immigration policy with no thought given to secondary effects. Lastly, the Liberal government has locked itself into permanent deficits with no credible path out. "Deficit spending" is code word for stimulus, which fuels inflation and is working against the Bank of Canada.
In short, the government is actively making the problem worse.

Solution: Politicians are too busy trying to get elected or reelected. They have lost sight of having a vision and an action plan that does not just line up with election cycles. Firstly, our party will end structural deficits. Absolutely, there is a time and place for deficit spending, but that is not now. This will help inflation and the cost of the inputs into the housing market. A robust immigration strategy is required. Lastly, we need to do more to stop the stigma of being a skilled blue collar worker as some kind of inferior career path - all skilled workers need to be celebrated.
At this very moment, we, like our fellow Canadians need to be vigilant with our spending habits. We did not create this problem, but the problem is very much something we have to prepare for on a personal level. We encourage everyone to be mindful when your mortgage term is up. As well, please start building up some savings and/or cutting out some costs where available. We don't want any wonderful Canadian families to find themselves in a financially pressured situation - reach out to us if you need some advice!
02
Immigration
The uniqueness that is Canada is built by our people. We have always been, and should always continue to be, open to new Canadians. It has become clear that Canadian governments have not taken a proactive role in ensuring housing and infrastructure is in place to accommodate immigrants. It is also clear that we are not setting a standard that coming to Canada means embracing our values. Ideas that involve hatred, religious intolerance and racism will no longer be tolerated. While the current political parties will talk about what could be done, they are still too concerned with getting votes. The Sentinel Party will take action with regards to intolerances that do not represent Canadian values.

03
Investing in our Children and our Future
Introducing the Baby Bond. Every Canadian baby born will have $1000 invested in an investment account for them. Additional deposits will be made over time depending on the family income level. This will be done to help reduce the wealth gap in our country and ensure that financially no child is left behind. It is also time to introduce real world financial literacy to all Canadians as we get back to being a country that is generating wealth.
04
Partnering with Business to support Sustainable Energy and a Stronger Global Business Footprint
It is time to stop government divisiveness. Full stop. Politicians have attempted for too long to split us as a people - based on race, income, sexual orientation and gender. It is time for Canadians to celebrate our differences and, in conjunction, celebrate the corporations in our country that are employing us, being market leaders here and abroad and are bringing innovative solutions to global problems.
Specifically with a robust, business friendly sustainable energy policy that does focus on protecting life on Earth, we can work together to reimagine this process. By fostering technologies that rebrand the many forms of carbon-rich waste as valuable resources, we can reduce emissions thoughtfully as we capture and reuse gigatons of carbon already above ground. Being open-minded to innovative ideas like energy islands also needs to be contemplated.
